SR:A Dice Generator
The origin
Shadowrun:Anarchy Dice Generator is a small dice generator capable of rolling as many D6 as you want. This project is born because one of my players at my table is dyscalculic. She has difficulty interpreting large dice pools (and we roll often large dice pools...). It was embarrassing for her so one day a took few hours to create this app to help her during our sessions.
Now I want to share it with community to help as many players as I can. Run it directly in browser or download it to keep it offline. As you wish.
How to roll?
It's pretty straighforward to use:
- Enter the number of dice to roll
- Click on LET'S GO! button
- Enjoy your success (or your failure as well)
You can use your luck by selecting Lucky roll? in the right-top options and have success on 4+. After that you can't remove the lucky state (🍀) of the pool and each reroll will have the same property.
The list first displays some basic informations like pool size and number of sucesses, but you can customize the display with the three options on right-top :
- Simple Display: standard display with the pool size and the
- Success only: display only successes in a compact way
- Full result: Display all the resultsof the pool and the number of successes and failures
Ok but... If I want to reroll?
No worries Choomba! You can double-clicking on an entry to display the reroll window and select by hand the dices to reroll.
Maybe want you a complete reroll? You're lucky! Clicking on the lil' dice (🎲) and the pool will reroll itself!
Disclaimer
I used Godot 4 to build this app but due to a limitation of the engine, it can't deploy web-based app for all (It struggle with Firefox for now). So I made a second build with Godot 3 to allow everyone to use it in browser.
For this reason, the downloadable version will not look the same. But for each major update on the desktop app I will make a porting to the browser one.
